Instructor Certification
Dance instructors may become NCWDA Certified through the Instructor Certification Program. It is structured in the same way as the Dancer Certification Program. NCWDA Certified Instructors are authorized to conduct Certification Reviews for new instructor candidates as well as current NCWDA certified instructors who are one or more levels below them in the certification process. A Certification Fee of $25.00 is assessed for each Certification Review. The member requesting certification pays this fee directly to the Certified Instructor who is conducting the Certification Review, as compensation for time & travel. When the certification candidate meets or exceeds the minimum requirements for the requested instructor level, the candidate pays annual membership dues of $25.00 and becomes an NCWDA Certified Instructor. Once certified, an instructor may advance through each level by successfully completing the associated Certification Review.
